Some of the most detailed figures we have ever featured — in 2002, iconic toy company Mezco released these Run-DMC action figures to critical acclaim. The set captures all three members — Run, DMC, and Jam Master Jay — in their legendary all-black leather outfits, rope chains, and fedoras, right down to the details that made the Kings of Rock hip-hop's first true style icons.
Run-DMC were pioneers off the mic too. They were the first rap group to land an exclusive sneaker deal — the famous Adidas partnership born out of ‘My Adidas’ — proving the marketing power of hip-hop in a way that opened doors for every artist who followed, from Nike and Reebok collabs to Ford, Pepsi, and Heineken. These Mezco figures are a fitting tribute to a group whose influence is still everywhere. The Kings of Rock are here to stay.
