When it comes to holy-grail hip-hop and music memorabilia, the Money Mark Series 2 action figure by Mo'Wax sits near the top of the list. Back in 1998, Mo'Wax Records dropped the ultra-limited Series 1 figure to celebrate the release of Money Mark's LP “Push the Button.” Two years later, in April 2000, they outdid themselves with the Series 2 version, designed by the legendary Ben Drury — the artist behind so much of Mo'Wax's iconic visual identity.

The figure pays homage to Money Mark himself, the keyboardist and producer best known as the Beastie Boys' longtime collaborator from 1998 through 2011. That deep connection to one of the most influential groups in hip-hop history is a big part of why this piece is so sought-after among collectors today.

More than twenty years later, the Money Mark Series 2 figure is still considered one of the most collectible music-related items released in the last two decades. Between the Mo'Wax pedigree, the Ben Drury design, and the Beastie Boys connection, it's a true grail. If you can track one down, let me know!
